How to Join Smart Kidz Club as a Parent

  • Go to www.SmartKidzClub.com
  • Click on the Sign In button at the top right.
  • Click on the link that says 'I do not have an account. Join Now for a free 14-day trial' at the bottom of this screen.
  • Continue as an Individual and choose the plan that is best for you. Enter any campaign code that you may have.
  • Once you Click here to Join, you will see a form that will need to be filled in with your information.
  • Once you click Register you will receive a confirmation of being Registered Successfully.

Joining the club will provide access to all our books, resources, activities, and quizzes on Smart Kidz Club. Happy reading!

How to search for books by Keyword

  • Go to www.SmartKidzClub.com
  • Log into your account with your user email and password by clicking on the Sign In button at the top right.
  • Once you are signed in you can enter a keyword in the search button from the top menu.
  • If you want a book or resource on fruits, simply type 'fruits' in the search field and click GO.
  • You will see all the books and resources pertaining to fruits listed on the screen.

How to search for Reading or Math

  • Go to www.SmartKidzClub.com
  • The top left has an icon with three lines – click that
  • The menu opens with the top tab: Reading or Math
  • Select what subject you wish to engage

How to search for Math books

How to redeem Smart Kidz Club access code?

  • Go to www.SmartKidzClub.com
  • Click on the Gift Cards button at the top.
  • You will see an option to Redeem an Access Code
  • Enter your access code in the field and press enter
  • You will get an alert that confirms the time period for which the code is valid. Click Okay.
  • Simply enter your details and setup your account
  • Congrats! You are now subscribed to Smart Kidz Club and you can enjoy all the resources anytime, anywhere. You can start browsing the collection using the menu on top left.
  • You can view and add your favorite books and resources to your account (My Resources) that can be synced offline onto your tablet via free Smart Kidz Club App on Google Play, Apple App Store or Amazon App Store.

How to best use Smart Kidz Club

How to follow a teacher

You can follow a teacher who is using Smart Kidz Club in her classroom. Sign in to your account and follow the steps below.

  • Click on the ‘Recommended Resources’ under ‘My Resources’ section.
  • Enter the Teacher code given by your teacher in order to follow her.
  • You will now see all the books recommended by this teacher.

You can also follow multiple teachers. Once you follow a teacher you can see her book recommendations that you can filter by grade or by teacher.

How to read and navigate a resource on Smart Kidz Club

The book cover can help you in selecting a resource. You can get a snapshot of the book details from the book cover itself. P at the top left indicates it has a play activity, Q indicates it has a comprehension quiz, Number on the top right indicates the reading level of the book.

Once you have signed in and selected the book here is a step by step guide to reading and navigating a book.

  • Click on the book cover.
  • You will see 2 options- Read to Me or Read It Myself. You will have 5 seconds to choose. If none of these buttons are clicked the book will begin the default mode of reading to you.
  • The Play/Pause button at the bottom of each page gives you the option of pausing the book for a break.
  • The Contents page will list all the topics covered in the book. You can skip to a page by clicking on a particular topic.
  • Another way of looking at all pages together is by clicking on the Resource Pages icon at the top left. You can jump to any page or to the end of the book from here.
  • The Smart Kidz Club logo at the top left of the screen will always take you back to ‘My Resources’.
  • Once the book begins playing you can have the book read to you. The words in blue are the Smart Words and can be clicked or tapped on, to view their definition.
  • At the end of the book, you can see recommendations to other similar books based on the interest category and reading level. If you like any book simply click on the cover to read that book or add it to ‘My Resources.’
  • At the end, you will also see 4 options- Read Again-This is if you wish to read the book again.
  • The second option is - Add to My Resources - This will add the book to ‘My Resources’ section. If the book is already in this section, it will let you know and take you back to ‘My Resources. If not it will add the book and take you to ‘My Resources.’
  • The third option is Launch Quiz - this will start the comprehension quiz that consists of 5 questions.Once you click start you will see the very first question. By default there is no audio to the quiz. In case you want the audio, please click on the audio button at the top left. Click on the correct answer and go to next for the next question. You cannot go to the next question unless you attempt this question. If you answer the first question correctly you will see the green indicating correct in the square that shows question number 1. The wrong answer will be indicated by the red square. You can also always see your score at the top right. Once you have finished the quiz and submitted your answers you will get your score at the end and also the option of taking the quiz again, reading the book again, Reviewing the answers, or playing the activity.
  • Reviewing the answers will help you know your errors. Let’s review this quiz. You can see your wrong answer in red the correct answer choice in green.
  • You can also go to Play activity which is also the fourth option. This fun activity is different in each book. A play activity is never scored. It is just for fun and will let you know when you are wrong. You cannot advance unless you have the correct answer.
  • The Home button at the bottom will take you to My Books.

How to add/remove books and resources from ‘My Resources’

The most important part of the library is the “My Resources” section at the top. This is something that you will have to build and maintain. It is similar to the books that you check out from a physical library or a book or reading list that you prepare for your child. Adding books and resources to ‘My Resources’ enables you to pick the resources that interest your child, are of his reading level, and can be synced onto your tablets or mobile devices for offline browsing and reading. Sign in to your account and follow the below mentioned steps.

  • If you are a new user ‘My Resources’ will be blank. To add a resource that you like you simply click on the cover to see the resource details about the resource such as the age level, category, reading level, what kind of activity is available etc.
  • Click on the bar next to the cover ‘View and Add to My Resources.” This will automatically add the book to ‘My Resources’ and also open it for your viewing.
  • You can always go back by clicking on the skc_new logo or the home button at the start of the book.
  • You can add as many books and resources as you want your child to read at a later time. You can add new books and resources that interest you and your child. You can even delete books and resources that your child has read from your shelf.
  • You will have the ability to search for resources by name or keyword within the ‘My Resources’ section. In addition you can also filter them by category, age or reading level.
  • In order to remove resources that your child has read, simply click on the Remove Resources button at the top and choose as many books and resources you wish to delete from your bookshelf.

  • Click on the Sign In button at the top right

How to recommend books

  • Log into your account with your user email and password by clicking on the Sign In button at the top right.
  • Select book via search options
  • Once on details page you can select and add it to your library with the tab
  • To see your library, go to the top navigation and select the icon: My Resources
  • Here you can select books for your students (followers)
  • Select a book in the resources area and at the bottom of the book us 'Update Recommendation or Recommend Resource'
  • This will ask you to verify the reading level and select the 'Recommend' icon
  • This will add your book to the recommended books as well as the resource library
  • Your followers search for your books by your teacher code: It is the code at the top of the page on every page in: My Resources

How to email followers and assign books

  • Go to www.SmartKidzClub.com
  • Log into your account with your user email and password by clicking on the Sign In button at the top right.
  • To see your library, go to the top navigation and select the icon: My Resources
  • Select the tab: My Followers
  • Send an email, text, or both to all followers or select specific
  • Share anything you wish – it is also a way to let them know you have selected new books for them – it will email and text them instantly and through the app

How to use reports

  • Go to www.SmartKidzClub.com
  • Log into your account with your user email and password by clicking on the Sign In button at the top right.
  • Top Right there is your name after logging in successfully
  • Click that and there are two choices: Profile or Reports
  • Select 'Reports'
  • This takes you to an overview of all your followers and how they have spent time on the resources – an example: total time spent by all followers on reading, play activity, quizzes
  • You can select time range. It defaults to all time but you can use the drill down box for past year/month/week
  • Select 'View Details' tab and you can see each follower and how they spend their time on the platform

How to get classroom solutions

  • Click on the 'Join' icon in the top center navigation
  • Click on the link that says 'Institutions'
  • Select 'Class Room Solutions' with your registration information
  • Once you click Register you will receive a confirmation of being Registered Successfully and you will be contacted with program options and details.
  • The program connects the classroom TV with a tablet for the teacher and up to 30 licenses for the students – this allows unlimited use of the library in the class and their homes

How to get Education in a Box

  • Go to www.SmartKidzClub.com
  • Click on the 'Join' icon in the top center navigation
  • Click on the link that says 'Institutions'
  • Select 'Education in a Box' with your registration information
  • Once you click Register you will receive a confirmation of being Registered Successfully and you will be contacted with program options and details.
  • Each student also receives a tablet pre-loaded with 200 books. This tablet does not require the Internet for these books. There is a card also with every tablet that allows the child to subscribe to the entire library.

How to partner with skc_new

  • At the bottom of the page there is a section: Working Together
  • It shares the email when you click 'Teachers & Schools'

  • The class has a teacher account, $4 a week, and the kids learn to read and do math with the fun tool that reads aloud, plays games, uses common core teaching exercises
  • The teacher assigns books that the kids love and is at their level. The child gets a subscription for one year: $99 and the parents can have the whole library at home as well as at school
